Our vision for Kingswood is to create a healthy, walkable and sustainable small town that provides homes and jobs to people of all ages and backgrounds in the heart of West Sussex. It will be distinctive and steered by careful masterplanning and design.

Mix of amenities, social infrastructure, culture and green space in each phase

A walkable neighbourhood with a network of characterful streets and spaces

"Everything about Kingswood and how we have created our masterplan it is based around people – places that they can walk to, shop, connect with others and live a healthy life. This is how to create a sense of community and a sense of belonging”
Dominic Richards
Chair, Our Place
OVERVIEW
Situated between Pulborough and Billingshurst, the land that we have identified and control is capable of delivering a large number of affordable homes that people in West Sussex desperately need. Crucially, the creation of a place at this scale will also enable us to deliver the vital infrastructure that communities need and expect, in a way that is sustainable.
OUR COMMITMENTS
Whilst the scope of the proposals at Kingswood are currently being progressed, key features will include:
Affordable homes – meeting Horsham District Council’s requirements
Sustainability – reducing the reliance on cars by providing a new railway station and creating walkable neighbourhoods
Job creation – by providing space for small businesses to grow and succeed
New infrastructure – such as three new schools, community facilities and a local centre
Nature restoration and enhancement – through Biodiversity Net Gain and other measures
The Vision
Kingswood goes beyond building new homes: it is about building a community for people of all ages and providing a platform for economic opportunity and growth.
